The Naranj Suite sits on the garden floor, behind a pair of cedar doors three metres tall. Open them and the room becomes part of the ersa: the fountain is twelve steps away, the nearest orange tree closer than that.
Inside, the walls are lime plaster, the ceiling is painted cedar, and the bed wears undyed linen and a rust wool throw woven in the Souss. In winter the oranges ripen at the height of your window.
